The Thin-walled Structures Group has been a leading contributor to the Steel Diaphragm Innovation Initiative (SDII) since its creation in 2015. SDII maintains an active website at steeli.org that provides regular updates on project findings, links to project reports, updates on recent testing, additional outreach materials, as well as complete lists of participants and sponsors. The work provides new insights on the seismic performance of bare and concrete-filled steel deck and has had impact on forthcoming AISI, AISC, NEHRP, and ASCE standards.
